I.        Minutes from April 28 Meeting

A)    Approved by all.

II.     Treasurer's Report from Anne-Britton Arnett

A)    Chase agreed to waive minimum balance fees on our account.

B)     Reviewed most recent account transactions and budget status.

III.   Neighborhood Survey from Bob Gayle

A)    Governors agreed to review and provide feedback to Bob.

B)     Initial feedback included:

1.      Addition of recycling to point regarding garbage pickup.

2.      Addition of open-ended question about what attracted resident to Riedlonn.

3.      Proposed rewording of question regarding a resident's skills or expertise to be more about sharing with the neighborhood than benefiting the association.

C)    Proposed delivery & return means

1.      Email delivery

2.      Hand delivery and/or pickup

3.      Residents to return to governor

4.      Residents return at end-of-summer picnic

IV.  Committee Reports

A)    Media/Communications – John Arnett

1.      Updates to website

a)      Congratulate Scott Davenport for Bellarmine's national basketball championship.

b)      Congratulate Genie Trite's son on movie debut at film festival at Water Tower.

B)     Hospitality – Greg Robertson

1.      Welcome Committee to greet new neighbors.

2.      Vacant houses present issues related to safety & neighborhood appeal.

C)    Safety – Tony Williams

1.      Dangerous dog challenge taken up by Jamie McMillin & Anne-Britton Arnett.

2.      Female streaker apprehended on Riedling near University (!).

D)    Special Events – Lee Jolly

1.        July 4th

a)      Parade & snow cones well attended by neighbors

2.      Yard sale & picnic

a)      Set for weekend of September 24.

1.      Avoids UofL vs. UK football game on September 17.

b)      Agreed to apply Green Committee savings to allow free attendance for kids.

1.      $5 charge for adults to remain the same.

c)      Proposed large fans to keep flies & mosquitoes at bay

1.      Ask neighbors if they can donate large fans for use at picnic.

d)      Tasks & responsible parties

1.      Cash drawer, tickets & bingo – Hill Walthall

2.      Tables & chairs – Anne-Britton Arnett

3.      Grilling of meat – Mark Holdener, Mike Presnell, Dave Sermersheim

E)     Arbor Council/Green Committee – Michael Parlier

1.      Dave Sermersheim volunteered to:

a)      Cut & remove fallen branch on Riedling near Zorn.

b)      Trim rose bush at intersection of Riedling and Emery to improve visibility.

2.      Addressed concerns regarding unkempt front yards, proposing:

a)      Friendly reminder letter from neighborhood association.

b)      Placing of call to 311 to report issue.

F)     Local Government Advocacy

1.      No news to report

V.     Other Business

A)    Traffic issues

1.      Speeding vehicles on Reidling

2.      East-facing stop sign at Riedling & University

a)      Partially obstructed by tree limbs.

b)      Request city to lower sign for greater visibility.

3.      Need for vehicles to keep right of median when making left turn from Emery onto Riedling

4.      Obscured entrances to neighborhood

a)      Overgrowth limits visibility.

5.      Brooke Miller volunteered to take issues to Tony Williams, requesting he rejoin board of governors
